Defil Luna 2 bass guitar, made in Poland. Luna 2 was probably made after 1976-77 and, as with all Defils featuring "2" next to the model name, was made as cheap as possible - no truss rod, sliding pots etc. Luna bass without "2" (if one exists) should have truss rod, normal pots and other "upgraded" features.

Both instruments are original; the red-burst one was probably made a little bit later when plastic-covered pickups were used. The other bass (3-color sunburst) has the original pickups but no logo.

The owner of the red bass writes he purchased it for 60 Euro in 2000. It’s in a quite good condition and the paint is almost without any flaws. The neck is somewhat twisted [probably courtsey of no-trussrod] but it’s quite playable. Sounds really thin, though. The other bass was recently on sale at allero.pl (sort of ebay.pl).
