The group, established in 1999, deals with numerous activities. Its members see contemporary art as a multimedia, uniting several forms of expression, s.a. painting, graphics, music, performance, design and web art.
Meatex Z's approach says that the main purpose of every art is entertainment. The group members concentrate on creating simple, understandable and beautiful works instead of conceptual projects.

31.12.1999 - "The Signal" performance on the Old City wall of Jerusalem
10.3.2000 - "Birth" performance, Gerar Bahar sq., Jerusalem
7.5.2001 - Performance at the opening of the "Birds' art" exhibition, Co-Art gallery, Jerusalem [as "gnoy&salo"]
16.6.2001 - Performance "Crippled Psyche of the Urban Man and the Innocent Sounds of Nature" at Israeli center of digital art, Holon [as "gnoy&salo"]
5.2.2002 - Performance "Shalom, Haver" at Rosa club, Jerusalem [as "gnoy&salo"]
30.9.03-21.10.03 - "Life with animals", exhibition at teena gallery, Jerusalem.
July 2000 - January 2003 - "Virtual People" web-art project (Internet-based)
The group has also designed numerous posters and web sites.

1994-1999: Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem, B.Arch. degree.
1997-1998: winter term in Prague Academy of Art and Design (student exchange).
1992-1994: Hadassah College of Technology, Jerusalem, Diploma of Practical Engineer in Industrial Design.
1989-1991: Academic drawing studies at Moscow Architectural University.
1998-2002: Working as an architect

Sergey Engel
Born in 1975, Moscow, Russia
From 1992 - citizen of Israel

art & design studies:
1994-1999: Bezalel Academy of art and Design, Architecture dept., Jerusalem
1994-1995: Technion preparatory cource, Haifa
1993-1994: Bezalel preparatory course, Jerusalem
1989-1992: Academic drawing studies at Moscow Architectural University
1997-2002: Working as an architect

Other group members are musicians and poets, their contributian is rather aural than visual.
